According to Radio Salamat Public Relations, Mehdi Pirsalehi, the Head of the Food and Drug Administration, said at the opening of the 13th Conference and Exhibition of Food, Dietary and Sports Supplements: We formed a crisis headquarters from the very first day of the war so that people would not have to worry about the supply of medicines, medical equipment and powdered milk, and manufacturers made production 24 hours a day, and even in some medicines that we had a shortage, the shortages were largely eliminated.

He continued: There was no shortage of medicine in any of the hospitals involved in treating the war wounded, and several pharmaceutical factories were damaged and were rebuilt in the shortest possible time, and a distribution company and a medical equipment company were directly attacked.

Pirsalehi stated: The population of Tehran had traveled to neighboring provinces, and in some provinces, the consumption of powdered milk had increased for this reason, which was done with planning of supply. We had good decrees in the government and we are seeking to extend these decrees to help increase production. If domestic production did not reach this level, we would not have been able to meet our needs during the war and the sanctions.

He clarified: The country's health industry is the pride of the country, and we proudly have a strong pharmaceutical and supplement industry that can meet the country's needs. There are 382 supplement production companies and 209 herbal product production companies, and these companies have made us free from the need to import supplements. Our plan is to increase quality supervision and good delegations have been given to the provinces. Of course, coordination must be increased.
